About Dres Kernow

Phoenix Cornwall Harmony Chorus started in January 2000 with just four ladies and their musical director. After advertising in the local newspaper, fifteen wannabe singers came along to learn the art of acappella singing in the Barbershop style. In 2008 we changed our name to Dres Kernow.

We are now a chorus (not a choir!) of more than twenty-five ladies dedicated to perfecting the unique, cone-shaped style of singing known as Barbershop. We meet every Tuesday at 7.30pm at the Carnon Downs Sunday School Rooms, Carnon Downs, near Truro in Cornwall, UK. Drop in and see us, you will be made very welcome!

We would like to say thank you to all who have helped us over the last few years; fundraisers, concert co-ordinators, etc, and a very special thank you to our families and friends for their support and for their tolerance, listening to learning tapes for hours on end!
